I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to capture this beautiful specimen in my garden and share the pic with you. Certainly the most exotic I've seen to date in my garden.
Citrus Swallowtail / Christmas Butterfly / Orange Dog (Papilio demodocus) which occurs from the Cape (Southern RSA) to Kenya.
It is quite common and its larvae feed on trees from the Rutaceaea family, which includes the imported citrus trees.
